We’re Grateful to The Rex Foundation

Bits & Pieces Shares Heartfelt Thanks to the Rex Foundation for Their Support

Bits & Pieces is deeply grateful to the Rex Foundation for its generous grant, which helped fund our 2025 Special Olympic Illinois athletes and support Bits & Pieces’ therapeutic riding programs for individuals of all ages and abilities. This gift helps us continue creating a space where riders can grow in confidence, connection, and joy alongside our incredible horses.

Founded in 1983 by members of the Grateful Dead and their friends, the Rex Foundation’s mission is to help secure a healthy environment, promote individuality in the arts, provide support to critical and necessary social services, assist others less fortunate than ourselves, protect the rights of indigenous peoples and ensure their cultural survival, build a stronger community, and educate children and adults everywhere. Their dedication to helping others, protecting the environment, and uplifting those in need reminds us how powerful generosity can be in building a better world.

We’re especially thankful to Rex Foundation Board Member and local resident Jay Caauwe for helping bring this partnership to life. We encourage you to visit the Rex Foundation grantees page to learn more about the inspiring work they support.

From all of us at Bits & Pieces, thank you to the Rex Foundation for believing in our mission and for helping our riders shine.
